After arriving in Philadelphia and spending a week in the surrounding suburbs with friends, it was nice to be back in a central location. We were invited to stay at The Logan Philadelphia Hotel, which was located Downtown and close to attractions such as The Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Franklin Institute and The Academy of Natural Sciences. For us this hotel was in the perfect location for doing JB Dads dream of running up the Rocky Steps, just a 15 minute walk away.
The Logan Hotel is a Hilton and part of the Curio Collection. Has a great model feel to it when you enter the lobby. Big and spacious with lots of art around. It was December when we stayed here so they had a special display on with Gingerbread Houses. It was so cold and snowy while we stayed and they have a big fireplace in the lobby which is so nice to sit in front of with the family on the big sofas. Plenty of sitting areas around through the lobby and around if you a working or just want somewhere to relax away from your room.
The family room is two queen beds and was really beautiful and modern room. Plenty of space with a big TV and a nice coffee machine, which is great for the time of year we were there to warm up. On arrival we received a great little welcome bag each for the kids, filled with some goodies which was an added touch from the hotel. Really great idea to keep them entertained and make the stay extra special. We also had a little gift from the kitchen which was a cannoli kit, so we got to make some with the kids and they loved making and eating them. Such a nice added extra that was fun to do.
Beds were super comfy, we had two queen beds which was enough room for the four of us. Bathroom was gorgeous and they had amazing soft bathrobes which were huge and would fit most. Plenty of space in the bathroom and a big shower, modern and clean with tonnes of counter space. Toiletries were really nice there and a great shower for all of us.
If you want to eat while your’e here, they had a few options. We didn't sample any food while we stayed for the night as we arrived late and didn’t get chance for breakfast. They have the Urban Farmer where you can eat most of the day from breakfast to dinner serving steaks and an array of locally sourced food and great farm to table selections. They have the Assembly Rooftop Bar and the Commons Lounge, where you can get cocktails and some snacks.
Spa and wellness centreThey also have a , a place for business, and you can also have your wedding here too. So if you’re looking for somewhere central in Philadelphia which is great for the kids, modern and fresh then head to the Logan, you won't be disappointed.
